"The Very Next Day You Won't Understand This"
Can you hear something?
A mind reader who's thinking too much
They sing
Even just an ask
Ask the way it is
Questions aren't perfect
One day you won't understand this
And suddenly remember its worth it
(x4)
Inside inside
Can hide
Alive
Feel right
Feel right
No lies
Just I
Bring the peace
I can see clarity
Wind's in stride
It's the way it's supposed to be
Bring the peace
Simple but clarifying
See other's side
Not always bout ya
Just try to see what other's life
Could be like
Try try try try try try
It's the end for an old fuck like
Thirty year old when his band plays night
Thinks she's playin to a hundred-five million
I think this track will make a very nice coffin
It's the end for an old fuck like
Me and you and the scene that died
Not like they ever really did like me
Grounds from my ashes will make very fine coffee
(If you get a bit tired, take a piece of my tire
Fear of pain is my dire method of
Gettting higher on the ladder of saints that
Claim the fire
Gets them lit by the one seen without iris)
The Berlin-based saxophonist's debut stands tall as a monument to queer vulnerability and resilience, grounded in brash ambient tones. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 31, 2019
Pale Spring’s first two albums come to vinyl at last, full of moody, low-lit, trip-hop inspired songs with tender, haunting vocal melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 16, 2021

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
